Addressed as the Venerable Mahāmuni or His Holiness or Pūjya Mahāmuni in everyday address is the Patron and Param-Guru of Mahagathe Foundation Public Charitable Trust.

The Venerable Mahāmuni is the Seventieth Mahādhibhū (महाधिभूः) of the Rudra Sampradāya of the Mahāpāshupata mata. Accessible to everyone, His Holiness has taught and inspired countless individuals across the globe to live in harmony with ancient wisdom while addressing contemporary challenges.

It is the Venerable Mahāmuni’s devotion to nurturing a world driven by compassion, care, innovation and justice that has inspired the formation of Mahāgathe Foundation Public Charitable Trust (MFPCT), a global volunteer-based humanitarian movement.

VISIONARY

Be it one-on-one interactions, daily programs or international forums, His Holiness offers wisdom on the most pressing matters of our time. From climate change to terrorism, cross-cultural tensions to poverty, and women’s rights, the Venerable Mahamuni invites each of us to get involved in rebuilding a compassionate and just society.

A. Spiritual Journey

The spiritual path of Pūjya Mahāmuni is a testament to a life of profound commitment and holiness. Discovered by the Sixty-ninth Mahādhibhū, His Holiness Yogīshwara Shivaswarūpa Mahāmunivandāru Trika Mahāgatha Mahālaya (योगीश्वर शिवस्वरूप महामुनिवन्दारु त्रिक महागतः महालय), , His Holiness began his path in the Rudra Sampradāya with Shiva-Dīksha in Uttarkashi, nestled in the Indian Himalayas. The life of rigorous training under the tutelage of the Kutīcakā (कुटीचकाः) monastic system further deepened the understanding of the self and the cosmos for the budding muni.

On completion of the Monastic training, the Venerable Mahāmuni received Adhishīlashiksha, Adhichittashiksha, and Adhiprajnāshiksha at Kalāpa, the Spiritual Seat of Dhyānbāri. After years of service as a Sabhya (council member) in the Supreme Council of Kalāpa, Mahāmuni Sritha was conferred Nirvāha-dīksha in 2010 and consecrated as Shītalamūrti, the embodiment of liberation, in 2011. His Holiness was consecrated in 2015 as the Mahādhibhū of the Rudra Sampradāya, heralding a new chapter of leadership and service

Furthermore, as the Param-Guru and Patron of the Mahāgathe Foundation Public Charitable Trust, Pūjya Mahāmuni embodies the philosophy of compassion through various programs and initiatives that uplift lives and promote holistic development

At the core of Venerable Mahāmuni’s philosophy is a deep-rooted commitment to the continuity of existence and the interconnectedness of all beings. This vision encompasses a just world where everyone has access to fundamental rights such as education, healthcare, clean water, food, housing, and clothing. Integrating the vision of the Sanātana Dharma with contemporary life, Pūjya Mahāmuni emphasizes the cultivation of compassion, dignity for all forms of life, and the holistic development of individuals. Mahāmuni Sritha’s teachings are drawn from the timeless wisdom of the Vedāgama Tantradhāra emphasizing the approach that is both timeless and relevant at the same time, inspiring individuals to live harmoniously with themselves and the world around them.
